UPDATE 9/4:

Hello to all our wonderful friends and fundraiser donors!

We want to update you today with some fantastic news — thanks to all the support we’ve received thus far, reliable transportation for Frances and her little family has been secured!!!! With the donations given, Frances was able to put a down payment on a better vehicle, trade in the old, and continue moving safely back and forth from work and around town with the kids.

There are still some expenses to catch up on, from paying off costly car repairs done prior to trade in, to making up missed wages, on top of the ever-increasing fuel prices and other factors. So we are leaving donations open and invite anyone who feels called to give any amount — where every single dollar counts and contributes toward this family’s continued security. Recovering from what should be a minor setback is an extended and ongoing process, but every little bit helps!

Frances Denise is a single mom who needs our help to rebuild her life independently. Since re-locating to a new apartment after facing 3 months houseless this past winter, her security has been challenged mainly by ongoing car issues that have cost thousands of dollars, but still haven't been fixed. She relies on a safe vehicle to get to and from work and transport her children where they need to go. She no longer has the resources for a rental car, and is stuck without reliable transportation during a time that has been financially draining in many other ways.

Frances is an amazing leader and volunteer in our local arts community between eastern TN & KY, donating countless hours of her time to support poets and artists in our area with events, book publishing, and other activities. Now is our chance to give back a little of that support and help her recover from these setbacks.
