Submissions are open!
Send in your poetry & prose to be considered for publication on our site! We are especially interested in:
featuring writers & artists local to the Big South Fork area, eastern Tennessee & Kentucky, and rural Appalachia
finding poetry that explores intersections in nature, spirituality, and collective liberation
celebrating cultural differences & bringing poetry from diverse places across the globe to our local/rural audience
General submissions are always open! You can send in poems on a topic of your choice whenever you wish. We also post a themed call for submissions about once a month; scroll down to view the current prompt! Subscribe to receive updates right to your email inbox every time we post a new call for submissions.
– Creation is My Refuge –
A digital poetry collection, inspired by the artwork of Mari Chan.
This prompt is open to your personal interpretation.
Submissions are due July 17 for publication on July 23. Please write ‘Creation’ in ‘Title of Submission.’ Original watercolor artworks by Mari Chan will be featured in the collection. Though not strictly required, we invite you to use the 4 art pieces as visual prompts (pictured below) to inspire your poetry on the subject of creativity, and finding refuge in artistic/poetic practice.
